WWE star Matt Hardy is not backstage at today's SmackDown! television taping in Detroit, Michigan. You all know by now that he was sent home by World Wrestling Entertainment officials after an incident backstage during Saturday's SmackDown live event in Minehead, England.

Regarding the possibility of WWE cutting ties with Hardy altogether, he is "on very thin ice," according to a reliable source within the company.

It is said that Hardy's saving grace from termination was WWE's fear of a Hardy Boys revival in rival promotion TNA Wrestling, but after Saturday's backstage incident weekend and subsequent video blog, the feeling is that they don't care much about keeping him under their auspices anymore.

Despite Hardy's claim that he wasn't taken off the road, a company spokesman confirmed the story to Newsday today.

Time to trim the fat.

After some issues that happened over the weekend, WWE has banned the drug Carisprodol (better known as somas) as part of a new amendment to the Wellness Policy. WWE Superstars can no longer use somas even if they have a prescription from a doctor. There have been a few changes made to the drug policy that have not been added to WWE's website yet.

Somas have been a major party drug in pro wrestling for decades. They're mainly used to relax muscles, but have resulted in several embarrassing incidents with wrestlers passing out in public after taking too many. Wrestler Louie Spicolli died in 1998 after overdosing on somas & wine.

This is likely the most significant change to the Wellness policy since its inception, as it will have the biggest effect on a segment of the WWE roster. It's said to be a VERY popular drug with WWE talents.

-- The latest on Chris Jericho is that a lot of people within WWE are still unsure what he’s going to do when his contract expires this month. Apparently Jericho isn’t talking to anyone about his plans, that goes from wrestlers to people in the office. Jericho had an interesting comment on Twitter last night: John Morrison and Sheamus had a hell of a match last night! The future of the company is in their (and a few select others) hands.... People are choosing to speculate that either he wants to work with Morrison and will stay around to do so, or he will leave and is making suggestions to WWE for who should take his spot.

-- WWE hopes to have the top three matches for WrestleMania determined by November. There are currently plans to have a number of people turning face or heel by the time WM rolls around, including one very big name. As far as Money in the Bank goes, they are considering bringing it back for WM and doing the PPV again as well. Nothing has been decided on that front.

-- Several years ago, former WWE wrestlers Mike Sanders, Raven and the now deceased Kanyon filed a lawsuit against WWE arguing their independent contractor classification from their WWE contracts. The lawsuit was dismissed.

It is being reported by PWInsider.com that Matt Hardy has been sent home form the current WWE European Tour today. Mike Johnson reports there was some concern over the "condition" of Hardy at the live events. Hardy was scheduled to team up with R-Truth against CM Punk and Luke Gallows but after a discussion with WWE officials he lefts the buildings and never returned for his match.

Sources report that WWE officials held a conference call earlier this afternoon to discuss Matt Hardy’s future with the company. No word yet on what happened.

The feeling is that WWE will keep Hardy on the roster as long as he agrees to some rules and stipulations from the company. Word is that a lot of people backstage are upset with Hardy’s recent actions and some talent want him to be released, or at least think he should be released.

One of the incidents with Hardy reportedly came during a WWE live event in August in White Plains, New York. The story is that Hardy disappeared from the arena that afternoon and they had to find a replacement for Hardy in his match. Apparently on explanation was given as to where Hardy ran off to.

WWE creative has apparently been told that Hardy would not be booked in the foreseeable future.

- Current plans for WWE’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view have Cell matches with Kane vs. The Undertaker and Randy Orton vs. Sheamus.

There is talk of building the Kane vs. Taker match as the 13th anniversary of their feud, since the two had their first confrontation in October of 1997 during the first-ever Hell in a Cell match with Taker vs. Shawn Michaels.

The Miz vs. Cena is being discussed for WrestleMania but if Cena turns heel before then, obviously that match would be off the books.

Cenan mahdollisesta "vuosisadan heel turnistahan" on siis jo kohistu vuosikausia. Itse(kin) toivoisin tämän tapahtuvan, vaikkapa jo lähikuukausina. Toisaalta taas Cenan heel turn ei ole bisnesmielessä järin kannattavaa, kun ne miljoonat pikkulapset eivät enää ostaisikaan suuren sankarinsa fanikrääsää. Kaikenlisäksi on myös huhuiltu sen Triple H:nkin kääntyvän pahikseksi, joten Raw olisi näiden jälkeen törkeän heel-painotteinen.

Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre are a new (possibly temporary) team on SmackDown that will face The Hart Dynasty in a non-title match Friday night on SmackDown. No word yet on whether the Hart Dynasty will defend the gold at Night of Champions, but they very well could add a tag title match by Sunday.

An idea that’s been discussed is to do a Survivor Series in November with tag teams from both brands. The match wouldn’t necessarily be a RAW vs. SmackDown match but a heels vs. faces match.

Oli kyllä harvinaisen harhaanjohtavasti kerrottu. Mestaruus ei ole sama asia kuin mestaruusvyö Ainakaan kenellekään AJPW:tä seuranneelle.

With Jeff Hardy under contract to TNA Wrestling and Matt Hardy long rumored to be joining him there, the chances of Matt Hardy in TNA look better than ever.

Itse olen aina ollut Hardy Boyz -fani, joten itse jopa odotan joukkueen lisäystä joukkuedivariin. Matt pojasta ei oikein singles painijana ole enää mihinkään, mutta joukkudivarissa voi olla jopa viihdyttäväkin. Jos tämä tapahtuu, niin toivottavasti eivät jobbaa muita joukkueita Hardy Boyzzeille vaan bookkaavat tasavahvasti muiden joukkueiden kanssa.

Itse en välittäisi nähdä miestä TNA:n riveissä. Matt on kuitenkin WWE:n vakiokasvo ja mies johon voi luottaa melkeinpä aina kehässä. Kaikkien näiden vuosien jälkeen Hardy on kuitenkin menettänyt kuntonsa, mutta ottelun aikana on melkeinpä merkillistä miten paljon se jo pelkästään vaikuttaa, että kuka siellä ottelussa on mukana. WWE Universe on kuitenkin aina Matt Hardyn takana, vaikka kuinka rappeutunut Matt olisi ja se tuo jo oman fiiliksensä. Plus omissa silmissäni Matt = Smackdown! melkeinpä jopa yhtä paljon kuin Rey Mysterio tai Undertaker.

Ei siis toiseen promootioon, vaikka kuinka jättäisi menestymättä, jos ei tuosta lähde lookin ja muun puolesta petraamaan. Kuitenkin painija, joka toimii suht hyvin tilanteesta riippumatta. Matt Hardy missä tahansa roolissa TNA:ssa ei vain jostain syystä liikuttaisi itseäni tippaakaan. Jeff-velikin tuntuu kadottaneen kaiken kiinnostuksen itsestään kilpailijan riveissä.

Ihan rehellinen mielipiteeni on, että Matt Hardyn päivät jäivät jo useita vuosia sitten taakse. MVP-feudin jälkeen miehestä ei olla saatu mitään irti, joten miksi TNA: tulisi lotkautta edes korvaansa tämän kankean veteraanin suuntaan? Totta kai tiedostan tosiseikan, että Hardy Boyzien nimi saattaa myydä todella hyvin, mutta kehässä Matt ei tule saamaan mitään omin avuin aikaiseksi. Ei vaikka hyppäisikin kilpailevaan laivaan.

Vince McMahon nixed the idea and that’s when Kaval debuted as a member of the SmackDown roster. Still, WWE officials have been talking about a Kaval vs. Daniel Bryan feud and how to pull it off with each man on a separate brand.

Some within WWE feel that a feud with Bryan would be the best way possible right now to get Kaval over with the fans.
