Word coming out of last night’s RAW in Dayton, Ohio is that Vince McMahon was not a fan of the “skinny jeans” that Batista wore for his return. We noted before that his jeans were actually a trending topic on social media last night.

Apparently Vince told someone that Batista should never wear that style of jeans again. It’s unknown if Vince saw them before Batista appeared live but Vince thought they made him look small and the appeal in Batista has always been his size.

We’ve noted recently how there are money problems surrounding Bill Goldberg’s WWE return deal. The latest word was that Goldberg and WWE were very far apart on money.

In recent months there was a hangup over creative decisions surrounding his return and the two sides were believed to be “within reason” on money. However, now word is that Goldberg budged on his price and when WWE didn’t agree, he upped the asking price for a return. While things were initially looking good from a monetary prospective, they’re now described as far apart once again.

To go with this, it’s said Goldberg has little interest in a match against Roman Reigns. Goldberg is believed to have other opportunities on the table and at this point a deal for him to work at WrestleMania XXX does not look like it’s going to happen.

- We still don’t know if Sheamus is scheduled to make his return at Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view but we now know he is returning soon because he’s penciled into one of the top 5 matches at WrestleMania XXX.

Current plans as of today, January 24th, have Sheamus facing Daniel Bryan in a singles match at WrestleMania.

This will be the third WrestleMania match between the two. They faced in a Lumberjack dark match resulting on a no contest at WrestleMania 27 and Sheamus defeated Bryan in 18 seconds at WrestleMania 28.

Plans can always change six weeks out but word as of today that the Sheamus vs. Bryan match is pretty much set in stone.

Batista was legitimately upset after he won the Royal Rumble match tonight after the crowd turned on him.

On his way back up the ramp, Batista got into a verbal altercation with a disgruntled fan who flipped him off. Batista could be seen on the big screen telling the fan that he'd snap him in half and then flipped the fan off while still on the big screen. He then mockingly did the "Yes!" chant at the top of the ramp while fans peppered him with boos. However, instead of using his pointer fingers, he used his middle fingers and flipped the crowd off.

As noted, Batista argued with fans on his way up the ramp after the Royal Rumble match last night and was seen flipping them off. There were some people backstage that were not happy about this. (PWInsider)

Despite everything that went down, or didn't go down, at the Royal Rumble last night, WWE is still planning on pushing Daniel Bryan in a big way. (F4WOnline)

There was a lot of negative feedback coming from fans on their way out of the arena after last night's Royal Rumble in Pittsburgh.

TNA has apparently signed independent women's wrestler Santana Garrett. The news came from SHINE promoter Sal Hamaoui on Twitter: “Everyone in SHINE would like to wish Santana the best of luck with TNA. You’ll always be a SHINE Original.” Santana appeared for TNA in 2010 as a valet for Orlando Jordan and wrestled on the Knockouts Knockdown pay-per-view. She also appeared on WWE NXT last year, losing to Charlotte.

Randy Orton was said to be "extremely angry" backstage following his match with John Cena at the Royal Rumble. Apparently the crowd reactions on Sunday didn't only get under Batista's skin, but "The Viper's" as well. One fan who was sitting ringside said Orton mumbled something along the lines of "worst crowd ever" to John Cena during their match. Cena replied with "don't worry about it."

"I was just informed Sting has signed a deal with WWE in the last 24 hours. I still think personally he will show up after Mania since it seems like Undertaker vs Brock is what they are aiming for. Reminds me when everyone thought Brock would debut in Miami but they waited for Raw."

This news comes about 24 hours after Anthony DiMoro of Sportsrant.com reported WWE and Sting reached some type of an agreement, and you can check out that report at this link.

As heard on last night's RAW commentary, JBL and Xavier Woods were talking about Furman University and East Carolina University. JBL called ECU the "Harvard of the South" because Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon attended the school while Woods got his degree from Furman. Those lines were certainly fed to JBL by Vince. The original plan for last night's RAW was to feature a number of qualifying matches for the Elimination Chamber match. When Vince McMahon decided the show needed to be re-written late in the afternoon, the qualifiers were dropped in favor of the six-man match. CM Punk was originally scheduled to wrestle in one of the qualifying matches but the decision was made to focus on his storyline with Kane next week. (PWInsider)

Vince McMahon, Triple H and other WWE officials most certainly reacted to the negative crowd reaction at the Royal Rumble on Sunday but the impression was given that this will not change their WrestleMania XXX plans and Batista vs. Randy Orton will still take place. Early word also is that the reaction won't change plans for Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus at WrestleMania. (PWInsider)

Several fans tweeting on the #WWECleveland hashtag before last night's RAW noted that security quickly removed a large "WWE CREATIVES SUCKS" fan sign before the show began. The sign made it onto the big screen at least once.

The feeling within WWE was that this year's 30-man Rumble match was a good one but there were no real highlights besides the Kofi Kingston spot. One reason for this is officials didn't start laying out the match with the wrestlers in the arena until 6pm in the evening. Jamie Noble was the head agent for the match so everything falls on him. Word is that the original script of Raw had Daniel Bryan getting no promo time. His promo at the start of the show was a reaction to the crowd's chants at the Royal Rumble. (Observer Radio)

Word has come out that CM Punk has left WWE, according to several sources.

CM Punk reportedly told Vince McMahon personally that he was going home, and then got on a plane for Chicago. WWE.com has since removed Punk from all upcoming live events and house shows over the next few weeks including Monday Night Raw.

He did not appear at Monday night’s Raw, and also didn’t appear at Tuesday’s SmackDown taping in Toledo, Ohio, despite being advertised for the event.

Punk, who worked roughly 50 minutes in the Royal Rumble match was described as “pissy” after the pay-per-view, although that reportedly wouldn’t be an unusual description of Punk’s demeanor backstage.

He tweeted the following message on Monday morning:

"Thanks for all the support. Keep being you guys, it's pretty cool."

As PWMania.com reported, Punk was scheduled to face Triple H at WrestleMania 30, but as seen on Monday’s Raw, early signs may have been shown that Triple H will be facing Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania instead. No word if the match change is what caused Punk to leave, or if the match was changed because Punk left. According to sources, Bryan vs. Triple H is indeed the new current plan for WrestleMania.

The belief is that Punk leaving is not due to an injury issue. In the past, Punk had been very vocal about “part-time” wrestlers returning to WWE and getting pushed ahead of guys who are there on a nightly basis, and that may be a reason for him being upset. According to reports, Punk’s final goal in WWE was to main event WrestleMania, and with his current contract expiring in July, and it becoming more and more apparent that he would not be main eventing WrestleMania this year, his failure to achieve that goal may be a driving force for his departure.

Punk stated in an interview last week that he doesn’t know if he will re-sign after his contract expires, and that “everything is up in the air.”

Jotenkin tässä on tullut mieleen että WWE halusi Batistaa takaisin niin kipeästi että heidän oli luvattava tälle Wrestlemanian Main Event-paikka että mies suostui palaamaan. TMZ Sports reports that Matt Hardy was arrested at a motel in Virginia earlier this month after allegedly getting into a fight with his wrestler wife.

Here are the mug shots of Hardy and 27-year-old Reby Sky, both appearing bloody and scratched up.

Hardy has multiple scratch marks all over his face and Sky (real name Rebecca Hardy) appears to be sporting a fat lip, black eye and several small cuts on her face.

Law enforcement told TMZ Sports the couple was arrested at the Hampton Inn in Emporia, VA on January 1st around 5:45 AM.

TMZ were told both Matt and Sky were booked for assault and battery. They were released on $3,500 bail.

Since the incident, both Matt and Reby have posted photos of each other and PWMania.com can confirm that they are still together.

TNA-sopimus voisi olla jotenkin mahdollinen vain, jos Devitt jatkaisi samalla New Japanissa, koska ei TNA:lla voi olla varaa kilpailla NJPW:n ja WWE:n kanssa. Irlantilaisen työmatkailu Japanin lisäksi kiertuetauoilla myös Yhdysvaltoihin kuulostaa kuitenkin kovin rankalta, eikä aikatauluja saataisi varmasti sovitettua, joten tuskin näin käy.

Tietyt merkit viittaa siihen, että Devitt saattaisi lähteä WWE:hen. Karl Andersonin roolia Bullet Club -stablen sisällä on viime aikoina kasvatettu. Tähän väliin vielä maininta tuohon viikkojen takaiseen Mae Young -uutisointiin liittyen. Vaikka puhutaan, että hän olisi paininut yhdeksällä vuosikymmenellä, niin todisteita 30-luvulla painimisesta ei ole ikinä löydetty, eikä siihen uskota. Jopa WWE taisi tribuuttivideollaan sanoa sen olleen "vain" kahdeksan vuosikymmentä. Lisäksi etenkin tämän vuosikymmenen ottelun kutsuminen painiksi on vähän kyseenalaista. George Scott passes away

George Scott, a major player in pro wrestling for more than 40 years, passed away last night (siis 20.1.) at his home in Indian Rocks Beach, FL, from lung cancer. He was 84.

Scott, part of the huge crew of wrestlers who started in the 40s and 50s out of Hamilton, Ontario, was half of one of pro wrestling's greatest babyface tag teams, The Flying Scott Brothers. The two made their names working for Stu Hart in Western Canada during the 1950s, but branched out worldwide, including runs in Australia where they were multi-time IWA tag team champions, and in the Carolinas.

But his biggest contributions were after retiring in 1973 due to a neck injury, and becoming booker for Jim Crockett Promotions.

Scott booked the territory from 1973 to 1981, taking a mid-level regional wrestling operation that ran in no top 50 markets, to being the hottest territory with the best talent in North America. He took unknown prelim wrestlers like Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat, and gave them their first major pushes, and turned the Greensboro Coliseum into a wrestling hotbed, building the Thanksgiving wrestling tradition in Greensboro and the Christmas wrestling tradition in Charlotte.

The talent in the Carolinas during that era became so strong that if you headlined there, there would be no question that you could headline everywhere. Other wrestlers who had success elsewhere but really became national figures under Scott during that era included Roddy Piper, Greg Valentine, Jay Youngblood, The Iron Sheik, Paul Orndorff, Masked Superstar, Tony Atlas and Jimmy Snuka. Virtually every major name wrestler in the world came through Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling in that era.

Scott booked in a number of other places, including World Class Championship Wrestling, Tri States Wrestling and Georgia Championship Wrestling, although never with the success he had in the Carolinas on the big run.

When Vince McMahon was preparing to go national in 1983, he hired Scott as booker. Scott worked directly with McMahon in putting together the angles and did the matchmaking for nearly 1,000 house shows per year until being fired after a falling out with Hulk Hogan.

Scott was heavily involved in the negotiations in 1984 to purchase Georgia Championship Wrestling and Stampede Wrestling, and form a partnership with Maple Leaf Wrestling, which gave the company key television time slots in the U.S. and Canada.

He later booked WCW for a few months in 1989, a period lauded for a great in-ring product, but it did not have strong financial success, built around the Flair vs. Steamboat program. He was fired in late March of that year.

Scott later booked South Atlantic Pro Wrestling, an attempt to revive the Carolinas with a regional promotion, but the business had changed and regionals could no longer survive.

He retired and had been living in Indian Rocks Beach, FL, with his wife, Jean.

Lyhyesti George Scott oli siis booker, joka tuli Mid-Atlanticille 70-luvun alussa sen oltua keskikokoinen tag-painiin painottunut promootio. Hän siirsi painotuksen singles-painiin ja hankki mm. Johnny Valentinen ja Wahoo McDanielin, jotka kärsivällisen bookkauksen myötä sytyttivät territorion. Scott antoi mahdollisuuden ennestään tuntemattomille Ric Flairille ja Ricky Steamboatille. Hänen aikanaan suuriksi tähdiksi nousi lisäksi mm. Roddy Piper, Greg Valentine, Paul Orndorff, Jimmy Snuka jne. Promootio kasvoi isoksi juuri hänen aikanaan, joten on ihan perusteltua arvailla, että ilman häntä WCW:ta ei ehkä ikinä olisi ollut. Scott oli myös WWF:n bookkaaja sen kasvun alkuvuosina 1983-86. Suuret kuviot olivat varmaan enemmän Vince McMahonin vastuulla, mutta Scott bookkasi ainakin lähemmäs 1000 house show'ta vuodessa.

Näinhän se on, Mr.Perfekt Ja vaikka Ambrose onkin pitkään pitäny vyötä hallussaan, WWE ei ole vielä asialle tehnyt mitään ennenkuin se EC koittaa ja huhujahan on ollut liikkeellä, että sekä IC että U.S- vyö yhdistettäisiin kyseisessä tapahtumassa, mutta tämä on pelkkää huhua kunnes toisin todistetaan.

WWE buukkaa vyönsä niin järkyttävän huonosti, että voisin kärjistäen vittuuntuneena buukkauksen tasoon todeta ainoastaan WWE World Heavyweightin säilyttämisessä olevan mieltä. Muut saisi heittää roskakoriin, koska niiden merkitys on lähinnä hienon koristeen tasoa (tag-titteleiden kohdalla ei päde, koska vyöt ovat rumimmat ikinä).

Ambrosella on pituutta mestaruuskaudessa, mutta se on silti aivan naurettavan surkea. En edes muista milloin tuota vyötä on viimeksi puolustettu missään saatika PPV-tasolla.

As I noted on my Elite Hotline yesterday, there was certainly low morale backstage last night before Raw. There was a feeling among the wrestlers that CM Punk walking out was going to be a loss for the locker room, since he was constantly speaking up for the crew. There was also a feeling that as much talk as there was about potential creative changes in the last week, there wasn't any real sign of that once they started learning what their segments were. In fact, most I spoke to in the last 24 hours were doubtful there would be any sort of real shake-up with current Mania plans. The fact that WWE management hasn't told anyone how PPV and DVD royalties and bonuses will change with the Network coming this month has also frustrated a number of talents, although many won't voice it for obvious reasons.
