Täysin samaa mieltä. Skylla oli mielestäni yksi painin historian tyylikkäimipiä ring attireja, mutta nyt hän näyttää joltain perusjobberilta. Puman maski puolestaan oli mielestäni aivan helvetin tyylikäs, mutta nyt koko mies uhkuu geneerisyyttä.
Seuraavaksi varmaan Super Dragon.
Dragonilla on backstagepoweria, ei hän maskistaan luovu (toivottavasti). Dragonista puheen olleen, käykää ihmeessä katsastamassa uunituore haastettelu täältä. Ainakin allekirjoittaneen mielestä aivan hervottoman hauskaa luettavaa.
Eiköhän nää jätkät ota ne maskit pois ihan vapaaehtoisesti... ja eikös Puma (aka TJ Perkins) paininutkin jossain ilman maskia jo aikaisemmin? Voin olla väärässä... Tuo Scorpio Sky:n maskin poisto harmittaa kyllä minuakin, mutta en usko sen haittaavan hänen uraansa PWG:ssä, tai missään muuallakaan.
PUMA paini ennen ilman maskia nimellä Pinoy Boy. Tällä nimellä hän taisi myös esiintyä aikaisissa PWG-tapahtumissa.
Scorpio Sky'n tapauksessa voi olla monia syitä, ensinnäkin se, että miehelle on luontevampaa painia ilman maskia, jos se tuntuu ahdistavan ja hankaloittavan painimista niin mikäs siinä, maski pois vaan.

Q: First, please tell the VCW fans a little about your background.
A: I was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne in England June 2nd 1976, followed 2 years later by my younger brother Mark. Newcastle is a working class city, Very tough but very kind. When we go home still now most people leave there doors unlocked and open to visitors. Newcastle is the kind of place where your going to learn how to be tough at a very early age, and for a man you learn how to be a real man. This came in Handy for me and Mark because when we were young my mum left our dad and moved us to Wales. Which to most Americans is the same country, But we know it as a different country and one that just happens not to like English people very much. So me and Mark went from fighting one on one to fighting well, whole schools of kids. A few years later My mother met and Married an American abusive sailor and we were shipped out to Norfolk Virginia. Once here Mark was able to lose himself in sports, even going as far as being all city, all state many times playing Soccer. He had a full ride to almost any college of his choosing but ended up shattering his knee when a goalie collided head on with knee. Mark was told he’d never walk again properly never mind ever play soccer. I guess he showed them Dr’s they have no clue about real pride, Because now mark not only plays soccer but he also wrestles.
As for me to say I fell on the wrong side of the tracks would be an understatement. My mum got so tired of trying to control me she sent me back home to my dad. This was the best thing that ever happened to me, my Dad truly saved my life and reminded me what a man really is, there responsibilities in life and that true toughness is found within. While in England I played college Rugby (that’s football for real men), finished my martial arts training but more importantly found myself again.
Q: What made you want to become involved in pro wrestling?
A: I’ve always been a huge fan of wrestling, one of my earliest memory’s is watching wrestling with my Grandad every Saturday at 4pm in Newcastle. It grew from there to the point where all me and mark would do is wrestle. We’d always pretend to be our favorite superstars and put on matches. Then in 1990 we got satellite and for the first time ever we got to see WWF. That was it there was nothing else in our lives from that point on. It would always be me as Rick Rude or Curt Hennig. Against Mark as any Member of the Hulkamaniacs. We actually got so good that by the time moved to the states we were putting on wrestling shows for all the other kids in the neighborhood. They would throw really bad clotheslines and such in there matches and then me and Mark would get up there, with gorilla presses, big suplex’s, hurricanranna’s and any other move we could think of.
Q: Was it anything like you expected?
A: No. First of all the training was insane, I’ve fought professionally, Played football and rugby. And I have never woke up in so much pain in my life as I did that first day after training. I don’t think most people realize just how much hard work go’s into this sport. It doesn’t matter how tough you think you are, or how athletic you think you are. Once you get inside those ropes you can be chewed up and spit right back out. The human frame wasn’t designed for what we as professional wrestlers put it through.
Q: Who would you rate as your toughest opponent thus far?
A: Dirty Money. We came up in this business together. We have traveled together, teamed together. Battled together. We know each other so well inside the ring, we know each others strengths and weaknesses. We have been best friends, but now I see we are heading for a collision and this time one of just might not walk away.
Q: What has been your most memorable match?
A: I had a string of matches against Phil Brown that were just hot, the crowd was torn in 2 and very vocal and we didn’t let them down, The crowd gave us the best they had and we gave them everything we had. I have great memory’s from those matches. But I also had the opportunity to wrestle one of my idols right before he passed away and that is just an incredible honor and something I will never forget, And I know now that Chris Candido is wrestling in the big show in the sky.
Q: What goals have you accomplished since your debut?
A: I get to live my dream week in and week out not to many people get to say that. I would love to one day be able to perform in front of millions, but if that day never comes I can always look back on my life and know that I gave it a real shot, I didn’t sit back and not try, make excuses or blame other people. I’ve given 100% every time.
Q: If there was anything you could change about pro wrestling, what would it be?
A: I’d take Kameo’s M.S away so she could wrestle again.
Q: If there were anything you could change about Sean Lei, What would it be?
A: My name. I’m very proud of my family and heritage, I would start using my real name. Other than that, nothing. I’d hate to have to life my life as someone else. Everything about us, every experience both positive and negative defines who we are and what we become. I’m in a good place in my life right now.
Q: How would you compare or contrast the current chemistry of Dynasty Nation with that of The Untouchables, a group that you led for several years here in VCW?
A: The Untouchables were 4 friends + Kory James who just loved this business, we believed we had something and we were allowed to run with it, But with Kameo, Sonjay Dutt, Dirty Money and myself it was always just fun, We love what we do and perform to our max. And when your surrounded by friends everything is a good time.
The Dynasty Nation is a business deal. it’s a handpicked group designed to do business our way. We don’t have to like each other, But right now we are firmly in control of the title picture and I don’t see anything on the horizon that will change things any time soon.
Q: This is your third reign as VCW Heavyweight Champion. Your first title victory was the upset of a lifetime, when you defeated the much larger and then undefeated Pat Cusick, whereas your current title reign came about as a result of a hoax, do you feel this title reign has become tarnished because of the manner in which it was won?
A: Whoa numb nuts, someone obviously needs a VCW history lesson. I’m the 4 time VCW heavyweight champion, The first ever grand triple crown winner and the only grand slam winner in the history of the company. And as for your little hoax comment, the title was stolen from me when I wrestled with a serious concussion. Then when that "champion" was stripped of the title without me ever getting a rematch, was I offered a title shot? No. My world heavyweight championship was held up and put in a delayed entry battle royale. I just did what I had to do to bring justice back to VCW and the title back home where she belongs.
Q: Despite the fact that you have bulked up, you are still often labeled as too small to be the Heavyweight Champion. How have you been able to adapt as the underdog in the majority of your matches?
A: Where I come from we believe its not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. I have to much pride to lay down for anyone. In England a symbol of our bravery and strength is the English Bulldog. This is by no stretch of the imagination the largest breed of dog in the world. But the Bulldog was bred with the specific purpose to bring down bulls in a one on one fight, not other dogs, but bulls. They would do this by grabbing onto the bulls nose and holding on. No matter what the bull did the bulldog would not let go until the bull died. Often after the fight the dog to would die from the injury’s received during the battle. But at no point through the pain did the Bulldog ever think of letting go. I’m not scared of the other dogs no matter there size. And I’m certainly not afraid of the one dimensional bull. I often come out of the matches I’m in the worse for ware, But I usually come out the winner don’t I?
Q: What kinds of things does Sean Lei like to do outside the ring?
A: My life outside the ring has really been taking over by Kameo’s M.S. I do my best to take care of her. Other than that I’m a lot quieter than people might realize, I like to go to the movies its nice and relaxing, I love to work out. I like to cook and I geek out with video games. That’s pretty much it.
Q: If you weren’t a professional wrestler, what line of work do you think you'd be in?
A: I almost became a firefighter in England. I love to entertain, so I’d have to say it would be something in the entertainment field. I cant sing so it would have to be acting. I’m a 3rd degree black belt so maybe I would be some kind of action star.
Q: Where do you see Sean Lei five years from now?
A: Hopefully happy. Wherever God plans on taking me in this incredible journey.
Q: If you were telling the Sean Lei story, what kind of message would you hope it would send?
A: Don’t be afraid to chase your dreams in life, you don’t want to look back with regrets.
