Reports indicate that Vince McMahon is very optimistic that The Rock can balance his New York-related GI Joe media appearances on the east coast with WrestleMania.
WWE officials are hopeful that they can piggyback The Rock promoting WrestleMania while hyping the movie, getting extra value out of his appearances.
PWInsider kirjoitti:WWE announced this evening that John Laurinaitis has resigned as as Senior Vice President of Talent Operations but would be remaining with the company as a producer. The departure from the role is 100% legitimate and not part of any storyline Laurinaitis had been involved in.
Laurinaitis was quietly removed from the WWE Corporate website several weeks back, so it was a move that was in motion for some time.
While the WWE story claimed that Laurinaitis was "burnt out", several WWE sources in recent weeks noted that the changes are more a sign of Triple H taking control of certain areas of the company and re-shaping them as he wants them.
Laurinaitis' duties had been diluted over the last several years as Stephanie McMahon and Triple H took over more and more power in terms of talent relations and creating live event lineups.

The frustration he refers to is a common one with mid-carders in WWE, where talents have worked hard to get a spot on the main roster and then find themselves listless with no upward mobility, waiting around and putting other talents over despite doing everything that is asked of you and often creating a new look for yourself. The frustrations were one of the reasons WWE Diva Maxine quit earlier this summer.
It should be interesting to see what comes of the rant, if anything.

When reached for contact, WWE told TMZ.com, "Milena Roucka contacted a WWE Talent Relations representative this morning to notify WWE that, upon her arrival in San Antonio last evening, she contacted police at the airport to report alleged domestic abuse that occurred just prior to her flight. WWE is supportive of Rosa and will provide her with professional assistance."
Mendes alleged in the police report that she feared for her life and that Andrew's alleged abuse was escalating.
The police report filed in the Mendes case did note that when she was approached by authorities, she was under the influence of alcohol but she was NOT arrested nor is she facing any future charges.

Andy Slocum's week has gone from bad to worse ... 'cause AFTER the former WWE talent was accused of beating his fiancee Rosa Mendes in Vegas ...his OTHER fiancee in Texas dumped his two-timing ass ... TMZ has learned.
We broke the story ... Slocum -- who wrestled under the name Jackson Andrews -- was named in a police report filed by Mendes, in which she claims Slocum beat her up on multiple occasions in the home they shared together in Vegas.
But the story REALLY came as a shock to a woman named Amber Stovall ... who thought she was EXCLUSIVELY engaged to Slocum ... who she had been dating for the past 4-and-a-half years.
"I was not aware of his double life with Rosa," Amber tells us ... adding, "I'm incredibly angry and I feel betrayed."
Amber -- who says the two shared a home in Houston and have two bulldogs -- tells us, "I was blindsided by the TMZ story. He had just flown me out to Vegas the weekend after July 4th and we made plans for him to return home to Houston at the end of August. "
For the record, Rosa -- who's a WWE Diva -- was in Texas on the weekend after July 4th ... when he flew Amber to Vegas. Basically, he pulled off a fiancee switcheroo.
Despite the lies, Amber insists Slocum was never violent with her ... telling us, "He's never even raised his voice to me."
Obviously, Amber has since called off the engagement ... noting, "He has not reached out to me despite my efforts to contact him since I found out about Rosa. So as of today, I have cut off all joint accounts which includes his cell phone."
Multiple calls to Andrews have not been returned ... and maybe now we know why.

WWE will be partnering with Saban Entertainment (owners of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers) to provide a weekly 30 minute series "Saturday Morning Slam" as part of a five hour programming block titled Vortexx, designed to appeal to young boys.
The Los Angeles Times featured a piece on the programming block and WWE's involvement, noting that the series will be focused on kids, feature one original bout a week and will be tailored for a PG audience with the company's Be A Star initiative a big part of the programming. The new series will debut Saturday 8/25.
