- According to wrestlezone.com, reader Ritchie Cates reached out to TNA asking whether or not Sting would be at this year's event as he was buying tickets for the Lockdown PPV. TNA issued the following response…

Hi Ritch:

Sting is not scheduled to appear at Lockdown 2014 PPV or Fan InterAction, unfortunately Sting is no longer with the company so therefore we have no booked appearances for him at any events in the future, Sorry about that.

UK wrestling legend Billy Robinson passes away at 75

Jake Shannon of Scientific Wrestling reported on Facebook today that his good friend Billy Robinson passed away in his sleep.

Robinson was 75.

Robinson was the most successful wrestler to come from the United Kingdom on an international basis. A former amateur wrestling champion who was an expert in submissions as the star of the Wigan school in the early 60s, he became a big star in Japan after winning a tournament for the IWE world championship.

Later, he became a champion in places like Australia, Hawaii and Western Canada, before his best known U.S. run in the 70s working for the AWA, where many considered him at the time as the best technical wrestler in North America. While a lot of people didn't enjoy working with him, and he had a headstrong attitude and was a tough guy, adept at wrestling, submissions and boxing and liked to fight, even his detractors wouldn't deny his immense talent as a performer, that he was a top-tier Hall of Famer, nor that he would be on any kind of a list of the all-time greatest in pro wrestling history.

Verne Gagne for years booked Robinson as the top contender for the AWA title, and his 1975 match with Antonio Inoki was considered as the classic match of that time period in Japan. Robinson also helped train many of the biggest names in wrestling including Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Sgt. Slaughter and The Iron Sheik.

In recent years, Robinson's name was well known in MMA, as the surviving expert of the old Wigan catch wrestling submission system, and his proteges included Kazushi Sakuraba, Josh Barnett, Harry Smith and Shayna Baszler.

Itse uskon, että Cena feudaa Wyatt familyn kanssa muutaman PPV:n ajan. Bryan puolestaan taistelee mestaruudesta monen PPV:n ajan. Bryan vs Batista vyöstä toteutunee ainakin jossain vaiheessa.

- You may have noticed on last night’s RAW from Memphis that Jerry Lawler said Mark Henry had pinned Roman Reigns in the past before correcting himself a minute later. Lawler was ordered to make the correction by Vince McMahon himself in the headset. WWE is very serious about keeping Reigns’ image strong.

- We don’t have any further details but word this week is that Alberto Del Rio is once again in the WWE doghouse. It could have to do with him expressing interest in leaving once his deal expires.

- Kane and his wife have started a new insurance company in Knoxville, TN called The Jacobs Agency. They offer auto, home, motorcycle, RV, boat, life and commercial insurance, as well as retirement planning.

Kane has told people in the area that he’s been planning on retiring from WWE for some time now but it’s hard to walk away from the money, so he’s going to continue wrestling while he can still make the big money.

There’s also a feeling locally in the political world that at some point Kane would be interested in running for public office as a Libertarian party candidate.

Olisikohan niin että tuossa on alkuvuoden koko myynti joten Punk on sitä myötä mukana? Tai joku pidempi ajanjakso kuin viimeiset kaksi kuukautta? Tuossahan kuitenkin viitataan siihen että Punk on tippunut pykälän sen takia että ei ole ollut ohjelmassa mukana.

- You may have noticed on the March 3rd RAW, before the Sheamus vs. Christian match, JBL started talking about how much he liked Vince McMahon as an announcer. Jerry Lawler then asked how he would compare Vince as an announcer to Jim Ross. JBL said Vince was better because he could speak English, and then said it’s like comparing horse manure to ice cream, which was a line Bobby Heenan used in 1991.

Apparently this was done because certain people within WWE were very upset at Jim Ross for telling a story on Opie & Anthony about Vince McMahon sharting himself during a segment in the Attitude Era. Ross told how Vince was working with Gerald Brisco, who has a notoriously weak stomach, in the gorilla position backstage and before going out, Vince went to fart in Brisco’s face to make him vomit but accidentally sharted on himself. Vince went out to do his segment, with the brown stain in his pants visible, but none of the cameramen were brave enough to shoot it.

That’s all Ross told on Opie & Anthony. At the time it happened, the story was that Vince came back, changed clothes and was holding the dirty pants in his hand. Vince tried to chase Brisco down with it to make him vomit, and Triple H grabbed Brisco to hold him so he couldn’t get away but Brisco used one of his old amateur wrestling moves and escaped.

The story Ross told on Opie & Anthony made its way across the internet and to sites like TMZ. The jabs at Ross on RAW were clearly set up and JBL is often the voice of Vince on commentary. Another sign the segment was set up is that Lawler and Ross are legitimately best friends.

Miksi ihmeessä Vince tekisi jotain mikä huonontaisi bisnestä?

Koska Punkin sopimus on hyödytön jos tyyppiä ei näy sopimuksen loppuun mennessä..
